Mapping and analysis of flowing waters that support naturally reproducing populations of trout in Pennsylvania. Promotion of fishing opportunities in Pennsylvania.
This data set was created from the list of Stream Sections that Support Natural Reproduction of Trout as made available by the PFBC Bureau of Fisheries. WRDS numbers of each stream are part of this list and these were used to select streams from the current 1:24000 National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) flowing waters layer and the data is coincident with NHD. In cases where the wild trout are not found in the entire stream, limit descriptors were used to trim the streams as apporpriate. TeleAtlas North America roads and PA Map aerial photography were used to supplement this process. |
